All Board and Train Programs are intensive lifestyle training programs where your dog is immersed in our training lifestyle and routine. This means lots of structure, rules, and socialization. Most dogs do not have any rules, or the rules are not consistent enough to make sense to the dog. Also, many dogs can already do obedience and listen, but only when it’s convenient for them which doesn’t lead to very good reliability. Structure and understanding state of mind is often the missing link. Structure is great for people and starts at a very early age with our kids and lasts a lifetime but most do not think to apply this concept to their dog. Once you do, you will see the amazing difference in behavior as well as a much calmer state of mind.
Your dog will look to you for a sense of direction and guidance, pay more attention and for longer durations of time, look to you as the leader and follow your lead instead of constantly taking the lead, and understand rules and boundaries. The whole idea is to help your dog fit into your world, the people world. Structure not only creates certainty for the dog (which builds confidence), it also creates certainty for the dog’s owner and family, and is also one of the important foundational pillars that contribute to the canine-human relationship.

These programs are designed to give your dog a strong jump start establishing communication between human and dog and by helping them through behavior issues. To truly get the most enjoyment and build the best relationship with our dogs, we must view training as a mindset and lifestyle. Your dog’s current behavior is a result of your current way of living. Training is there to establish communication with your dog. The way you structure your lifestyle with your dog is what allows training and good behavior to become a more permanent part of your life. Think lifestyle habits!
BOARD AND TRAIN PROGRAMS
SAN DIEGO DOG TRAINING SERVICES/RATES!
Two Week Obedience Board and Train - for dogs needing the basics. This program is NOT for younger puppies or serious behavioral issues (see 3-5 week programs).
This is a great option for owners who are looking for obedience, attention around distraction, and to improve the relationship they have with their dog. Since behaviors in dogs are attached to the environment in which they live and the people they live with, removing them from that environment allows us to focus on just the dog and starting them on a clean slate in a new, structured environment, setting the dog up for the best success possible. By living at my home for 2 weeks, your dog will develop a foundation of knowledge and behavior that will make it much easier for you to adapt the training mindset and lifestyle when your dog comes back home. This will empower you to build on the relationship you have with your dog where he will look to you for the right leadership and guidance.

We specialize in low-level remote collar or, e-collar, training where we develop the ability to create consistent communication with dogs over varying distances. The remote collar is one of the most versatile training tools which allows us to speak to our dog in a conversational way. The training tools help us to establish communication with the dog in a way that makes sense to the dog and are the most humane and effective way to communicate. That way, we get the right response and can help the dog overcome some of the most difficult challenges.

We pride ourselves on boutique-style, specialized, one-on-one attention paid to each individual dog and situation. By comparison to the rest of the industry, which tends to do a higher volume of dogs and longer programs, our very unique approach to training and rehabilitation allows us to go further with your dog in less time and create transformations unavailable elsewhere.
